Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches
It's Heaven on a Bun

When football season arrives it's time to bring out the slow cooker and make some Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches.
My husband and his friends like... no that's not it. They LOVE these sandwiches. If I don't make them at least two or three times during football season I usually hear about it.
Fortunately they are really easy to make. Just put 4 defrosted boneless chicken halves into the slow cooker, pour the wing sauce and ranch dressing mix over the top and let it cook on low for 4 hours. The chicken breast will fall apart very easily when it's done. Just grab two forks and pull them apart.
The way I serve them is to spread some Blue Cheese dressing on the buns, then a slice of provolone cheese, add the chicken and a scoop of cole slaw on top. As my husband would say, "It's heaven on a bun".
Sometimes we toast the buns and provolone cheese in the oven for a few minutes before scooping on the chicken.
Buffalo Chicken Sandwich
Ingredients:
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 (17.5 fluid ounce) bottle buffalo wing sauce, (such as Texas Pete), divided
1/2 (1 ounce) package dry ranch salad dressing mix
2 tablespoons butter
6 hoagie rolls or Hamburger buns
Preparation:
Place the chicken breasts into a slow cooker, and pour in 3/4 of the wing sauce and the ranch dressing mix.
Cover, and cook on Low for 4 hours.
Once the chicken has cooked, add the butter, and shred the meat finely with two forks.
Pile the meat onto the rolls, and add a bit more of the remaining buffalo wing sauce to serve.
You can also add a slice of your favorite cheese or even some Ranch dressing.
