Cutting Chicken Breasts

 

This page explains a simple method for cutting chicken breasts to be thinner.

So, you open a package of boneless chicken breast and find that one or more of them is gigantic.
So you ask yourself, "What are they feeding these chickens?" Most recipes using boneless chicken breast call for thinner pieces that are approximately the same size. The solution to this problem is simple.
Take a knife and carefully cut the large piece horizontally across to make them thinner.

To cut, use the palm of your hand to hold the chicken breast in place, keeping your fingers straight and your thumb up. Using a sharp knife, start at the thickest part of the breast and carefully slice it in half horizontally, producing two even pieces.
