Golden Chicken
Tasty Creamy Chicken - Goes Great Over Biscuits

Golden Chicken is a creamy and delicious dish loaded with flavor and it's so easy to make. Just put a few ingredients into your slow cooker and hours later you have a wonderful meal for your family with hardly any effort on your part.
Now, I can't say it's the prettiest meal you will ever see but it makes up for bad looks with a wonderful flavor. This is a great meal to serve over over baked biscuits, rice or egg noodles.
After thickening the sauce with corn starch, I usually put the chicken back in the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. The chicken is so tender that it will pretty much fall apart on it's own.
I like to make this recipe on a cold and rainy day. It really seems to warm everyone up. So if you are looking for easy to make comfort food then definitely try this recipe.
Golden Chicken Recipe
Prep time: 15 min
Cook time: 4 hours
Ingredients:
- 1 can Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup
- 1 can Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbls lemon juice
- 1 Tbls Dijon-style mustard
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
- 2 Tbls Corn Starch
- Pepper
- Egg Noodles, Rice or 1 can of biscuits
Preparation:
- Mix the Water, Soup, Lemon Juice, Garlic Powder and Mustard together in slow cooker
- Add Chicken and coat both sides.
- Cook on low setting for 6 hours or high setting for 4 hours.
- Take Chicken out of slow cooker and set aside.
- Mix 2 Tablespoons of Corn Starch together with 1/4 cup of cold water in a cup
- Stir in Corn Starch mixture with the sauce in the slow cooker. (this will thicken the sauce)
- At this point you can cut the chicken into chunks and place it back in the slow cooker or you can shred it using two forks to pull it apart.
- Season with pepper to taste.
- Stir it all together and serve over noodles, rice or baked biscuits.
