Chicken a la King

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast halves - cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 can of sliced mushrooms drained
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (condensed)
  • 1 cup frozen mixed veggies
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1 can of refrigerator biscuits or cooked rice.



 

Preparation:

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil, add chicken pieces
  3. Cook 4 to 5 minutes until they start to turn brown and about halfway cooked.
  4. Stir in the milk, mixed veggies, condensed soup, mushrooms, and onion powder.
  5. Bring everything to a boil.
  6. Cover skillet and reduce heat.
  7. Let simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Stir together and serve over biscuits or rice
