Chicken a la King
Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast halves - cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 can of sliced mushrooms drained
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (condensed)
- 1 cup frozen mixed veggies
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and Pepper
- 1 can of refrigerator biscuits or cooked rice.
Preparation:
- Season chicken with salt and pepper
- In a large skillet, heat oil, add chicken pieces
- Cook 4 to 5 minutes until they start to turn brown and about halfway cooked.
- Stir in the milk, mixed veggies, condensed soup, mushrooms, and onion powder.
- Bring everything to a boil.
- Cover skillet and reduce heat.
- Let simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir together and serve over biscuits or rice
