Chicken Chowder

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast halves cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 8 small new red potatoes cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 (16-ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables
  • 2 (14-ounce) cans chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried marjoram leaves
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 cup Half & Half
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (8-ounce) container onion and chive-flavored cream cheese, softened

 

Preparation:

  1. Combine Chicken Pieces, Chopped Potatoes, Chopped Onions, Frozen Vegetables, Chicken Broth, Marjoram, Salt, Thyme in
  2. Slow Cooker
  3. Cook on high setting for 5 hours or 7 hours on low
  4. Mix Half & Half and Corn Starch in small bowl and then stir into the Slow Cooker
  5. Cover and cook on high heat for 15 minutes
  6. Add Pepper to taste
  7. Just before you are ready to serve, stir in the Cream Cheese until it is melted in.
