Chicken Chowder
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast halves cut into 1-inch pieces
- 8 small new red potatoes cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 (16-ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 (14-ounce) cans chicken broth
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dried marjoram leaves
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
- 1 cup Half & Half
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 (8-ounce) container onion and chive-flavored cream cheese, softened
Preparation:
- Combine Chicken Pieces, Chopped Potatoes, Chopped Onions, Frozen Vegetables, Chicken Broth, Marjoram, Salt, Thyme in
- Slow Cooker
- Cook on high setting for 5 hours or 7 hours on low
- Mix Half & Half and Corn Starch in small bowl and then stir into the Slow Cooker
- Cover and cook on high heat for 15 minutes
- Add Pepper to taste
- Just before you are ready to serve, stir in the Cream Cheese until it is melted in.
