Garlic Wings
Ingredients:
- 14 whole chicken wings
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup flour
- 1 large egg beaten
- 3 cups Vegetable oil for frying
Preparation:
- Cut wings at the joint (see photo below).
- Put the separated wings in a large bowl
- Add the Soy Sauce, 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Salt, Ground Ginger
- Mix together with hands until well coated
- Let the wings marinate for 30 minutes.
- While you are waiting for the wings to marinate; Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
- Line baking sheet with paper towels.
- Mix Corn Starch, Flour and 1 teaspoon of garlic salt into small bowl. This will be used for coating the wings.
- After the wings have marinated; Heat 3 cups of oil in a wok or large pot.
- Drain off the excess marinade, add 1 beaten egg to the wings and mix together until coated well.
- Dredge the wings in the Flour mixture and cook about six wings at a time in the oil.
- Place the wings on your baking sheet lined with paper towels and keep them warm in the oven while you are cooking the rest.
We usually serve these with different kinds of dipping sauce, like, Ranch Dressing, Blue Cheese Dressing and Sweet Chili Sauce.

Grab both ends of the wing and bend it open until it's straight.
This will help you locate the area to cut. Cut the wing in half by placing your knife
into the socket that connects the leg and wing. This will take a bit of practice.
You will know you have the right spot when it cuts through easily. If it is too hard to cut
then you haven't found the right spot. Just keep moving the knife around until you get it.
